Even though I’m a single mom, I have to give it up to single dads, too. They go through the same things we as single moms go through and might even harder given all the stereotypes of single dads.

Either way, single parenting is anything but easy, so I thought I’d give it up to some famous single dads after doing another post on single moms that kick-ass!

1. Ryan Phillippe

Although his ex-wife Reese Witherspoon moved on and is now married, hottie Ryan Phillippe is still living the single dad life! Sure, he has new girlfriends here and there, but his kids are the most important people in his life. His commitment to his family proves that he’s a single dad that kicks major ass while still looking good doing it.

2. James Marsden

The X-Men actor is one of the hottest single dads we’ve seen! He divorced his ex-wife Lisa Linde in 2011 and is a single dad to his three kids (two with Linde). Despite his heavy acting schedule, he still finds the time to be the best dad possible, trying to be his kids’ lives as much as he can. He is in a relationship at the moment, but until he gets married again, he’s still considered a single dad in our book.

3. Colin Farrell

It’s hard to believe that Colin Farrell is still single. The very handsome Irish actor is unattached and totally content continuing his acting career and being the best dad possible to his two children. In a 2015 interview, he’s been quoted as saying that he enjoys being unattached and being a single dad. He’s perfectly content with his “beautiful life” and we can totally applaud him for that.

4. Johnny Deep

Johnny Deep is one of the hottest men alive and like a fine wine, he only gets better with age. He’s played tons of crazy and unconventional roles, but his best role yet is as dad to his two kids. He has an older daughter that was born in 1999 and a son born in 2002. He’s been linked to various women here and there, but he’s really been a single dad for quite a while. Even though his two kids are grown up now, Johnny takes his role as a single dad very seriously.

5. Liam Neeson

Liam Neeson’s story is a tragic one after he lost his beloved wife, Natasha Richardson in a skiing accident. Since loosing his wife of more than a decade, he’s been a single dad to his two children. He’s a very secretive guy and a devoted family man when he’s not working on a film, putting the needs of his two kids before anything else. He’s been quoted as saying that being a dad is his most challenging role, and we totally get it! He’s had to raise his children as a widow and that’s not always easy – even if you’re a celebrity.

5. Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise is known for two high-profile relationships – Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes. He has two adopted children with Kidman and one biological daughter with Holmes. Cruise was the main parental figure for his adopted children, with Kidman stating before that she never had a really strong relationship with their son and daughter. When the two divorced in 2001, the kids chose to stay with him. He was a single dad for a while and then met Holmes and had a daughter, Suri, in 2006. But since they divorced in 2012, he’s been a single dad to his two older kids and still sees his daughter Suri despite Holmes retaining custody. He’s known for his dedication to all his children as a single father.
