Don’t be ashamed of your single mama status because there are plenty of role models to look up to!

Even famous people don’t always live ideal or perfect lives. There are plenty of famous names out there rocking single motherhood and here are just a few names that are doing this parenting thing solo:

1. Jennifer Garner

She was married to Ben Affleck for a total of ten years before they separated in 2015 and were legally divorced in 2018. She’s been single ever since and has legal custody of their three children. She hasn’t been linked to anyone else really famous, but she’s for sure rocking single motherhood. Family is huge for the actress and she’s usually seen around Los Angeles is just another soccer mom for her two daughters and son. Sure, she’s famous so she doesn’t have to worry about things like money and not having a father figure in her children’s life (Ben Affleck has joint custody of the kids), but she’s still technically doing it on her own.

2. Angelina Jolie

She landed Hollywood’s hottest actor, Brad Pitt, but the love didn’t last long and they divorced in 2019. It was a sad breakup in Hollywood, but now the notable actress has custody of her six kids. But she’s no stranger to solo parenting given she adopted a few of her older kids even before she got with Brad. So now that she’s single again, it’s back to business as usual as she continues being an awesome single mom. Her oldest has just started college and she still has lots of mothering left for her young children. She definitely kicks as a single mom!

3. Halle Berry

Halle Berry is one hot single mama! How she’s on the market still is mind-boggling given how amazing she looks for being 53-years-young. But nonetheless, she’s an awesome mom to two littles. She’s definitely not letting the trials and tribulations of being a single mom hold her down and as she rocks the whole solo mama thing.

4. Sandra Bullock

Sandra Bullock is another mom who you would never think to be in her 50s! She adopted her two children in her 40s and continues to be the best mom possible without a partner or spouse in her life. In fact, she pulled an Angelina Jolie and adopted her kids without ever having a spouse or partner, proving to all single moms out there that it’s totally possible to kill it as a solo parent!

5. Madonna

As an icon in music, pop culture and fashion, Madonna doesn’t have time to sit around and feel sorry for herself that she’s a single mom to her six kids. She’s an inspiration to single moms everywhere given how badass she still is as a solo parent. Sure, she’s had several partners here and there, but one thing she’ll never lose is her identity as a mom and she works that single parenthood life like the rock star she is. She really knows how to juggle the demands of motherhood, solo parenting, and work!

 

6. Michelle Williams

Raising her only daughter on her own hasn’t been easy for Michelle Williams. She’s been solo parenting since the suicide of her daughter’s father, Heath Ledger, in 2007. Although she did remarry in 2018, she’s now separated and right back to solo parenting. But it’s nothing new for this famous mama who has shown the world that she’s a badass mom on her own.
